10. The One Where He Treats Emily Appallingly
Emily Waltham is Ross Gellers second wife, and boy does she get a raw deal. After a whirlwind romance of just six weeks, they decide to get married, and its all downhill from there. He says the wrong name at the wedding, which is nigh-on unforgivable, but then compounds things by deciding itd be a good idea to take Rachel the person whose name he said - on the honeymoon as well. Its never made explicit, but the clear undercurrent is that Ross wants to make the best of a bad situation in other words, maximise his chances of getting laid. Later, he bombards Emily with phone calls despite her telling him she doesnt want to talk and mopes when he doesnt get his own way. He even drags Chandlers ex Janice into things, when he starts revenge dating her after discovering Emily has moved on. The final insult comes after Emily has remarried. She calls Ross and leaves a voicemail saying she wants to talk to him about getting back together. Ross just ignores it, because thats what a rational adult who faces life head on would do.
