10 Reasons Why We Need a Batman TV Show

4. Batman Gets To Stretch His Abilities

Batman is ridiculously talented. He€™s supposedly the ultimate martial artist, the ultimate vigilante, the ultimate detective, even the ultimate hero. Yet how much of his vast knowledge and ability is ever seen in detail in his big-screen appearances? A drawn-out show provides the option to really show off what the Dark Knight can pull off with sufficient prep time. Instead of endless punch-ups, chases, or fancy €œpush a button and Batman wins€ gadgets (I'm thinking about notorious examples like the exploding Batmobile in the 1989 movie, and the daft "fingerprint from a bullet" wotsit in The Dark Knight), you can mix up the season by including episodes in which Batman only flexes his mental muscles, solving some bizarre crime or getting into the head of one of his lunatic foes. Martial arts showdowns, stealth missions, or just taking out some super-powered monsters with willpower and smarts; one of Batman€™s strengths as an entertaining hero is his versatility at being awesome.
