Daredevil: 10 Reasons Wilson Fisk Is The Best MCU Villain
3. He Has Genuinely Good Intentions.
Of all the things sought after by most villains in the MCU, power is top of the list. Whether it's the physical power of the Hulk, plunging the universe into darkness, or somewhere in between, none of them are hardly the most original pursuit. Fisk meanwhile has a completely opposing view, in that his quest is not about gaining it for powers sake, but instead to use it as a means to breath new life into the city that he genuinely cares about.
Yes, he'll still be the leader of all crime and will no doubt amass even more wealth in doing so, but this is just an added bonus. Throughout Daredevil we are shown many sides to this man, but it is through his interactions with Vanessa that we see the open, and honest Wilson Fisk. Unlike those who revel in the destruction they cause (pretty much every other MCU villain, ever), Fisk openly admits that he is not always proud of what he has done, (and is still doing), but sees it as the lesser of two evils.
The annihilation of the Russians by any other mob boss would have been just taking out the opposition. But when Fisk explains his actions to Vanessa we are not just assured that his motives are actually selfless, but he even gets us to agree with him.
