Jimmy's days are spent battling disinterested staff over woefully inadequate fees and representing clients that he knows are without doubt guilty. It's easy to see why he wants more. The courtroom also creates more chances to watch his highly entertaining adversarial skills, and probably some jaw dropping vignettes. Necrophilia is not the sickest crime these writers can come up with.
