10. It Shares DNA With Parks & Recreation
Brookylyn Nine-Nine's creators and executive producers, Dan Goor and Michael Schur, have an impressive shared CV. Schur co-created the beloved, recently retired sitcom Parks & Recreation, which Goor also wrote for. They've (together and separately) worked on Saturday Night Live, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office and many, many more of America's elite comedies. They've honed their skills to such an extent that Brooklyn Nine-Nine works right from the first episode and just gets stronger as is goes along. They've also brought in some of the brilliant people they've worked with on other shows, such as Chelsea Peretti who was a writer on Parks (but more on her later).
