10 Reasons You Should Be Watching Once Upon A Time

7. Mythology Done Right

Like many shows in the post-Lost network television landscape, Once is no stranger to an extended mythology model of storytelling. Unlike some other shows, however, Once has figured out how to do it well. A strong, consistent balance between mystery and payoff exists not only in individual episodes, but throughout the larger story arcs of the seasons. The show often balances dual stories in a single episode - one in the pre-cursed fairytale realm, and the other in present day Storybrooke. Only time can tell for sure, but it certainly appears as though the Once team is avoiding the deadly television sin of having no idea where they€™re going as they go (a trap that Lost itself arguably fell victim to).
