10 Reasons You Should Watch Netflix's Kingdom

7. The Fight Scenes

Not only does this series show off its effective and heart-stopping zombie choreography, from the mangled, broken corpse rising in its unnatural way to the terrifyingly fast sprints of hungry monsters—it also shows off the prowess of its fighters, with characters from the protagonists to their enemies among the Cho family engaging in graceful and dangerous swordplay.

Heads roll and swords stab clean through bodies in this mix of desperate survival and artful combat, not quite reaching Crouching Tiger levels of near-fantasy martial arts until halfway through the series, with certain characters showing off even more fighting prowess than the audience was expecting.

Not only do the martial arts get people excited for the fighting chance these people might have, but the unified stance they take against the hordes, with military strategy and clever use of tools and traps making the show feel less like a massacre and more like a full-scale war.

Everyone gets a piece of the action, from the prince and his bodyguard bearing swords, to their mysterious companion Yeong Shin having great prowess with firearms, and tough as nails healer Seo-bi unafraid to pick up a weapon and plough forward despite not being a fighter.
