We told you we weren't through with you Netflix! You heartless cowards!

It's not like this show got off to a slow start - we got treated to copious vomit and cannibalism in the first ten minutes - but the amount of people who seemed to tune out after the first or second episode is absolutely shocking. And that's considering that Nathan Fillion is in it, and we all know how the damn internet feels about him!

Santa Clarita Diet had enough steam left for at least another two seasons and it's truly sad we won't get to see what eventually became of Sheila and Joel Hammond. The show boasted some absolutely outstanding performances from its two leads, Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant, both reminding us over and over just how brilliant the two of them are when put into a comedic role.

On top of the brilliant chemistry between Barrymore and Olyphant, Santa Clarita Diet also boasted some of the strongest, sharpest writing outside of 30 Rock and Arrested Development. In practically every episode the writers managed to take what felt like a dozen zombie - sorry, the z-word - tropes and flip them on their heads as well as taking any expectations that the audience might have had about where the plot was going and smash them to pieces. It really is a shame that we'll never get to dine out with the Hammonds again.
