10 Recent TV Shows With The Worst CGI Moments
1. Flying On The Dragons - Game Of Thrones
It goes without saying that Game of Thrones raised the bar for grand, epic storytelling on television. From its deft handling of its multiple narratives (at least for the first few seasons), film-level visuals, and iconic characters, the show broke into pop-culture consciousness in a way that few others did.
As mentioned earlier, the show's production values are almost awe-inspiring, with its depiction of large-scale battles, fantastic creatures, and fictional worlds rivaling anything seen on the big screen. However, one area where the show has fallen short is in its depictions of various individuals riding on the Targaryen dragons.
Wide shots of the beasts in flight are undeniably impressive, but close-up shots on the likes of Daenerys or the Night King often feel unsettling and highlight the shots' unfinished green screen effects.
Just like with Westworld, this does not stand in a particularly awful manner but is still disappointing in comparison to everything else that is depicted on screen.
