10 Rick And Morty Fan Theories That Change Everything
4. Rick's Original Morty Was Evil Morty
Through different episodes and adventures we have seen multiple versions of our favourite characters. Tiny Rick, Pickle Rick, and Jerry the movie star to name just a few. One such character first introduced in season one is Evil Morty, later revealed to return as the eventual President Morty in The Ricklantis Mixup.
Of course, a Morty rising to power is way outside the norm, as every other one of Rick's sidekicks are generally useless. So what is so special about this Morty? What if Evil Morty was actually Rick C-137's original grandson?
In one of the few realities where Rick did not actually leave Beth and her family, Morty's grandfather spent time with him, teaching him, and passing on his vast scientific knowledge. This made Morty much smarter than the average Morty, and explains how Birdperson is able to have a picture of Rick holding baby Morty. However, Morty began to grow too smart, and started clashing with Rick, escalating to the latter unable to tolerate his grandson getting in his way and stealing his parts for his own use.
He travels to Earth C-137 taking the place of a dead Rick, claiming to return from 20 years of exile, leaving an incredibly smart Morty Rickless and with a grudge. He precedes to build a robotic Rick and a portal gun, using both to get his revenge against numerous Ricks across the multiverse, framing his original grandfather at the same time, and eventually rising to power at the Citadel of Ricks.
