10 Roles That Showed Doctor Who Actors In A Completely Different Light
3. David Tennant Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
David Tennant's Tenth Doctor is the most human of them all; so human in fact, he became a mere Earthling in 'Human Nature'. He's renowned for his smile and his cheeky wink, called a romantic Doctor, and is probably the incarnation you'd feel most safe with. In just a few short scenes in Harry Potter though, Tennant showed absolutely none of the beguiling loveliness he would bestow the Doctor with. Barty Crouch Jr. was a Death Eater, posing as Mad Eye Moody, to try and steer Harry into the path of Voldemort. Tennant was only unveiled as the culprit at the end; gone was his customary charm, replaced by a sneer as he stuck his tongue out like a snake. He was creepy, extremely sinister and though he spoke in a Doctor-like, English accent, he delivered his lines with a haughty smugness. Tennant's performance was deliciously evil, but ended abruptly when Crouch ended up in Azkaban. Bad things happen to wizards who mess with time, after all.
