10 'Rose' Moments That Proved Doctor Who Was Here To Stay

6. God Bless The Internet

Seriously. What would Rose Tyler have done in that first episode if she hadn't had access to the Internet? People have been known to devote years of their lives trying (and failing) to find the Doctor but all this resourceful retail assistant had to do was partake in a nifty web search and all of a sudden she'd come across a website packed with pictures of the very man she was trying to track down. They were all pictures of the Ninth Doctor, too, which was particularly handy. Doctor Who was here to stay because apparently it's unequivocally easy to find him. Whatever happened to the great mystery surrounding our beloved 900 year old Time Lord? It's almost as if he wants to be found... Seriously, though. Doctor Who was certainly making no secret of the fact that it had landed in the 21st century, even if Mickey's computer is already outdated (seriously? A CRT monitor!? That's so 2005!). Actually, there have been lots of times in NuWho where the Doctor has only been able to save the world because of the technological advances.
