10 Saved By The Bell Plots That Are Certifiably Insane

10. Zack Morris Becomes A Sex Offender

(From "The Zack Tapes") In the first season, one of the constant overarching themes is Zack trying to hook up with Kelly. She's the hottest girl in school, but he hasn't had his growth spurt yet and is thus not the hottest guy in school, so he has to use his scheme to get her. Because that's totally normal. In "The Zack Tapes," the kids' teacher, Ms. Wentworth (What subject? Who knows?) was teaching the class about advertising. More specifically, she was going to teach the kids, who had all brought her gifts that day, about subliminal messaging. See, she played a song during class the day before, inserted a quiet message telling everyone to bring her apples (did anyone ever actually give apples to teachers?) and candy, and it worked like gangbusters because, apparently, subliminal messaging works that way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzfDyJ2i2sw Meanwhile, Kelly and all of the other girls are, like, super into the new song by "Beau Revere." Mr. Belding doesn't get it, as he's constantly listening to early Beach Boys songs. You can probably see where this is going: Zack decides to go from schemer to rapist by switching out Kelly's cassingle with one that has his brainwashing message dubbed onto it. The plan unravels when Jessie listens to Kelly's tape too much and falls for Zack as much as she did. Somehow, the ensuing argument undoes the severe mental conditioning and they go to Ms. Wentworth to help get revenge. The responsible adult teacher agrees because sure, why not? Mr. Belding, her direct superior, joins in by playing "Kelly's Beau Revere tape" over the school loudspeakers. Literally dozens of girls (including Ms. Wentworth and other teachers) start mobbing Zack, because this is a well-coordinated revenge plot, and Slater joins them, because a guy being attracted to Zack is just wrong and hilarious! Mr. Belding even starts creeping on him, because his teacher wanting to rape him is also hilarious. Of course, in the end, they drop the act, Zack learns his lesson, and he doesn't go to jail for using his acoustic roofie.
