10 Scariest Episodes Of The Walking Dead (So Far)
3. Hounded (Season 3, Episode 6)
After Lori's death near the beginning of Season Three, it's safe to say that Rick didn't take it too well. Shutting himself off from the rest of the group and disappearing deep into the walker infested prison to vent his anger, Rick begins to crack under the trauma and hallucinates a ringing phone.
Even more disturbing than that, he picks the phone up and starts talking to the voices on the other end.
This is creepy enough, but once you get to the reveal that he's been talking to Amy, Jim and Jacqui (all characters who died in season one) and then Lori, the rug is pulled from under you and you can't help but break out in goosebumps.
The voices try to get Rick to come to terms with his wife's death, and the only happy aspect of the episode - which also sees Glenn and Maggie kidnapped by a manic Merle - is that Rick eventually snaps out of it and goes out to see his newborn daughter for the first time since her birth.
