10 Scariest Stargate Episodes Ever

This Stargate Universe episode "Pain" begins with a sexual encounter between Lieutenants Matthew Scott and Vanessa James. Suddenly, Scott gets up to leave, but James stops him, arguing about his feelings or another female member of their ship. A fight ensues and James kills Scott with a nearby lamp.

Scene by scene, we see the crew of the ancient ship Destiny come under attack by their innermost fears.

It’s another hallucination episode, this time with the crew constantly encountering horrifying scenes. One person keeps scratching their arm raw, believing that there is something under his skin; another becomes trapped by ever enclosing walls.

Scott himself even has a moment where he wakes up trapped inside a box, all while chasing after a ghost in the form of his son.

The modern technology in the Universe series gives these hallucinations a deeper edge to them than the other hallucination episodes of the franchise, giving more horror to the jump scares and making the blood look much more realistic and horrifying - even if ultimately it turns out everyone just has a bad case of alien ticks giving them hallucinations.
