1. Uncle Phil's Pool Hustle - Banks Shot
http://youtu.be/G7PF2iQgoAM You just have to love Uncle Phil. In a show dominated by Will Smith's personality and character it is easy for many of the other characters to become dwarfed by his presence, which many of them frequently do. Uncle Phil however, is perhaps the only other character without whom the show would have been a massive flop. This is testament to the marvelous acting of James Avery. Thanks to another screw-up from Will, where he loses his money and Uncle Phil's car to a pool hustler, Uncle Phil steps in to save the day again. In this clip Uncle Phil shows he's smoother and smarter than the average bear as he uses his embarrassing pompous rich man persona to outwit and out hustle the bad boys down at the pool hall. As everyone sits, visibly embarrassed by Uncle Phil asking the butler for 'a stick thingy' he's merrily oblivious and showing us why he's cool as ice. He's got everyone right where he wants them, and proceeds to hustle his way through some frames of pool. Uncle Phil was always one of the strongest characters in my opinion, and often has the last laugh in a situation. In a fish out of water comedy, he is one of the largest fish in the pond. While Will Smith went on to bigger and better things and many of the rest of the cast slipped into obscurity, they left behind a show that is often unfairly underrated, and a lot better than many of the US comedies currently airing. These were ten of my favourite moments, but feel free to share your own in the comments section.
