10 Sci-Fi TV Series That Deserve A Second Chance

8. Babylon 5

One of the most beloved SciFi series of all time is Babylon 5. Well, for some people at least. It was a departure from the Star Trek series of the era, which is what many fans were used to.

This space opera told the story of Babylon 5, a station built in the aftermath of decades of inter-species war. The intention was to provide a neutral place for all species to meet and discuss their issues without resorting to violence. It didn't always work out that way. Babylons 1 through 3 were all destroyed during construction. Babylon 4 was completed but mysteriously disappeared before it went into use.

For the most part, the J. Michael Straczynski created series was well plotted and had a satisfying arc that ran through the first four seasons. The final season did not live up to many fans' expectations, and left some wanting a better ending. New episodes are unlikely but a rebooted series could be excellent.
