10 Sci-Fi TV Show Moments That Pissed Off Fans

1. Eleven's 'Emo' Phase - Stranger Things

The Walking Dead
Netflix

A successful and unique series available on Netflix, Stranger Things smashed records by being a nostalgic, fun Sci-Fi adventure in the 80’s that fans adored. The warming friendships and complex characters made this series a modern classic. Its darker, supernatural undertone was always a mystery and has stayed that way through its three-season run.

Eleven was the Eggo loving, silent and powerful type that fans loved from her first appearance. Her past has always been shrouded in a fog of uncertainty but that comes with the tone of the show so fans have always been content. Her character was fairly one dimensional in the first season and fans were looking forward to seeing her personality develop in the next instalment.

But the road to a great character is littered with flaw shaped obstacles. That could not be more prominent than in Season 2 when Eleven ventures on her own looking for answers and finding herself along the way. On paper, a very good episode. In practice? The exact opposite.

The whole episode felt so forced and strange compared to the rest of the series where each episode and story arc had development for the characters. The episode left many fans wondering what the point of it was and were left angry with how nothing comes of it. The only thing taken away from it was some bad eyeliner.

I currently attend the University of Salford, studying Broadcast Journalism. That's it really. Told you there was nothing special. If you're really that desperate for something to do, follow me on socials. Yes, I do like that ego boost.
