10 Sci-Fi TV Show Moments That Pissed Off Fans

9. Travelling To The Future - Agents Of Shield

The Walking Dead
ABC

Agents of SHIELD was the series no one expected from Marvel Studios but it was a fun and enlightening addition to the MCU. The return of Phil Coulson was a big selling point as his emotional send off in The Avengers was one of the most memorable moments of the movie. So to see him as a fully fledged SHIELD agent battling HYDRA and extra-terrestrial threats was a treat to watch.

But it was not until Season 5 that things took a turn for the worse and as confusing and difficult to write as it is, the series delved into the world of time travel. Our core characters were dragged to the future to stop an apocalypse they cause but this opened the pandora’s box of misunderstandings. The series went downhill with trying to stabilise the consequences from paradoxes while also continuing other stories.

The whole plot became hard to follow and crammed full of different storylines, leaving fans struggling to keep up. The series became rushed with the writers trying to shove in as much emotional plot as they could but leaving its audience completely lost. This plot line was a clear grab at raising the stakes on the show however it lost itself and plenty of fans in the complex storytelling after.
