Flashforward lasted a single season back in 2009 and had an intriguing premise. Everyone in the world, at a certain time, passed out and saw a vision of themselves six months into the future (well, a fair few of those people died in plane crashes and car accidents due to passing out, but that's by the by). What did it mean? Why did it happen?
Well, the single season that we did get of FlashForward attempted (and mostly succeeded) to drip feed answers through the characters and narrative. The most fascinating question of it, of course, was what happens when you flip a character's arc on its head. Normally a character's actions should determine their destiny, but what if they're shown their destiny and that defines their actions instead?
The show concluded with a huge cliffhanger, another FlashForward was just about to hit and everyone tried to prepare. In the last moments, everyone started to see visions of their future again and that was it. We don't know what everyone saw, we don't know what will ever happen to them because the show wasn't renewed for a second season. Given the decent characters and strong premise, there's a lot more mystery here to have been uncovered.
