10 Sci-Fi TV Shows That Wasted Incredible Characters

8. Lexa - The 100

Stranger Things Barb
The CW

The 100 follows a group of survivors, mostly criminal adoloescents, as they return to Earth from a space habitat almost a century after a nuclear apocalypse.

Upon arrival, they discover that there are some that survived the apocalypse - grounders - and that they've formed clans, now all locked in a power struggle.

It's surprisingly enjoyable, and often makes for tense viewing. The harsh nature of the environment its characters find themselves in means that there's plenty of death and destruction, meaning that more than a few fan-favourites have been offed over the course of the show.

One such example is Lexa, a fierce warrior and member of the post-apocalyptic LGBTQ+ community.

After cementing herself as one of the most complex and interesting characters on The 100, Lexa was accidentally shot during an argument, dying shortly after.

It was a sudden, cheap and pointless death for a character that deserved so much better.
