10 Scrapped Friends Storylines That Would Have Changed The Show Forever

Chandler and Phoebe are two of the most popular characters from the show and contributed to many iconic moments throughout the ten seasons of Friends.

But those moments would never have happened if an early draft of the show had made it to air and the sitcom had proceeded with just four leading characters.

During pre-production of the series, some early outlines of Friends focused on Ross, Monica, Rachel and Joey and had Phoebe and Chandler as nothing more than supporting characters. Some drafts even had them removed from the scripts entirely!

It’s almost impossible to imagine the show without these two crucial characters. Would the show have had the same success without Phoebe’s quirky outlook on life or Chandler’s sarcastic jokes?
