2. Pierce Almost Killed Chang
The deleted scenes for "Advanced Documentary Filmmaking" feature numerous talking heads interviews with the study group - including Shirley's aforementioned camera incident with Fat Neil and Vicki - and an especially disturbing sit-down with Pierce.
Pierce fleetingly mentions that he once hit Chang with his car and he didn't tell anyone, which appears to the basis for Pierce holding Chang in a high regard as a human being.
Pierce then adds a totally uncalled-for amount of detail, adding, "I really blasted him. He was up on the hood and everything, it was a mess."
Given that Chang clearly should've gone to the hospital for his injuries, it may well explain his increasingly deranged arc throughout the series.
