9. Ben Has Been Sneaking Vegetables Into Leslie's Waffles For Years
It's no secret that Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) is extremely fond of sweet treats, especially waffles - Belgian waffles from J.J.'s Diner, to be precise.
But in this deleted scene from early in the show's final season, Leslie learns a horrifying truth about her husband Ben (Adam Scott) while discussing the tricky Newport land proposal.
After Leslie mentions that she sneaks brocolli into their kids' mac and cheese to "sweeten the deal," Ben informs Leslie that he's been sneaking vegetables into her waffles for years, even since before they were married.
Ben admits to a furious Leslie that he put seeds in her maple syrup while lying to her that they were "maple seeds," which don't actually exist.
And like that, years of Leslie's waffle love was immediately tainted, prompting Leslie to instruct their children to attack Ben with all their might.
Wouldn't it be incredible if we revisited old Parks and Rec episodes and actually saw Ben slyly sneaking veggies into Leslie's waffles? Sadly, no dice.
