10 Secret Subplots You Learn From Watching Parks & Recreation Deleted Scenes
4. Andy Dwyer Is (Maybe) A Secret Genius
Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt) is the Parks Department's resident goof, and it's fair to say that despite how loveable he might be, he hasn't always shown himself to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.
This off-cut from season seven sees Andy and Ben discuss the prospect of April working for Ron, with Andy asking Ron what April's "sock options" would be.
At that point, Ben interjects to tell Andy that April was probably talking about stock options, to which Andy chortles and smugly tells him, "It's a privately held company, Ben," because of course, private companies don't have stock options.
And like that, Andy got one over on Ben, a zinger almost smart enough to suggest Andy is actually a secret genius pretending to be dumb when it benefits him.
That is, at least, until you discover the deleted scene from season four where he cleaned a laptop by actually washing it. And then microwaving it.
