10 Seinfeld Reappearances On Curb Your Enthusiasm

6. Jerry's Nemesis Sally

Comedian Kathy Griffin makes a quick and unremarkable cameo in the very first episode of Curb. Larry uses her as a pawn in one of his typically elaborate lies to cover up the fact that he referred to his wife Cheryl as Hitler in a call with his manager Jeff Garlin. Jeff’s parents, who are in the car with him, overheard the tasteless comment on the speakerphone and get very upset with Larry over his insensitivity to Holocaust survivors.

In a much funnier role, Griffin plays Sally Weaver on Seinfeld. She first appeared in “The Doll” episode in the seventh season and after filming, she claimed the real-life Jerry was rude to her during taping. She then started making jokes at the star’s expense during her appearance on HBO Comedy Half-Hour and a memorable appearance on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.

Jerry, who found her jabs amusing, started writing the whole situation into the show for the season nine episode “The Cartoon” – one of the last great Seinfeld episodes. During tapings of Seinfeld, Jerry would also play the clip of Griffin making fun of him to the audience as a warm up.
