8. Friends - They Leave The Apartment Empty
You know a show ending is a big deal when people across the globe feel it. The finale of Friends wasnt just massive in America (with a whopping 52.46 million people making it the fourth most watched show finale ever) but over here too, with E4 launching a big campaign for people to watch the end. We watched the cast grow up not only on screen but in real life too from a ragtag group of misfits struggling to get by in the city with their crappy jobs to responsible adults with marriages, careers and kids. Well, maybe not Joey. The last episode has its share of laughs, especially seeing Rachel squabble with a pre-Community Jim Rash about the amount of phalanges the plane has, but the last scene is surely a tear-jerker, no matter if you watched it live or on one of the countless repeats. Like the previous entry, we have our gang looking around their old home, but lets face it. The finale of each character in Friends is much more earned than Only Fools and Horses. The Trotters found the watch by luck, but Chandler, Phoebe, Monica, Joey, Ross and Rachel lived through years of change to get to the point where theyre all ready to leave each other behind. Chandler and Monica are adopting their kids, Phoebes married Mike, Ross and Rachel finally got it together. And Joey? We can only imagine what wacky, hilarious and spinoff-worthy adventures he got up to.
