10 Shocking Deaths That Changed The Walking Dead

7. Tyreese

The Death: While investigating Noah€™s former home, Tyreese was bitten by the zombified corpse of Noah€™s younger brother. After seeing hallucinations of The Governor, Beth and more, he succumbed to his wound. How It Changed Things: For the group of survivors that was finally re-uniting, this was a huge blow. Beth had just died in the episode prior and because it was mid-season finale, it looked like things would start over. When the show resumed and Tyreese died as well, things began to look bleaker than ever. With so much focus on what it takes to survive in this new world, it€™s impossible to overlook the type of man that Tyreese was. Like Dale before him, he was a pacifist, but if The Walking Dead has taught us anything, it€™s that innocence will not be tolerated in its world. This would serve to harden many of the characters even further, cementing in their minds that they€™re justified in who they€™ve become, lest they die like Tyreese. This would also remind viewers of the harshness of their world and a central theme of the series that you can never stop fighting to survive.
