The first season of True Blood dealt with a serial killer wreaking havoc on Bon Temps. Women associated with vampires were getting murdered left and right. As Sookie began to become more involved with Bill, she involuntarily became a new target. Unfortunately, Sookie's absence at her house one night meant that her beloved Gran had to take the fall. Sookie walked into her deadly kitchen to find Gran stabbed to death. While it was clear that a lot of people in town were in danger, no one would've thought the killer had the guts to murder the kindest and most understanding woman in Bon Temps. Sookie immediately went into shock and was speechless. So were we.
