8. Gus Fring - Breaking Bad (Season 4, Episode 13)
By the end of Season 4, it had to be either Walter White or Gus Fring. While they first started out as a dynamic meth cooking/distributing duo, their relationship eventually turned into a suspenseful game of cat and mouse. Given that Walt is the main character of Vince Gilligan's groundbreaking series (the final eight episodes start in August), it wasn't a surprise that Gus would be the one to die, especially after he threatened to kill Walt's entire family. With this, Walt confided in wheelchair bound Hector at his nursing to get his long-awaited revenge on Gus, who had eliminated the entire Juárez cartel. To lure Gus and his henchman Tyrus to the nursing home, Hector staged a fake confessional to the DEA. When Gus found out Hector had gone to visit the DEA at all, he walked into the nursing with the intent of silently killing him. Unfortunately for Gus, Walt had already planted a bomb on Hector's wheelchair that would be triggered by his infamous bell. Realizing it was too late, Gus let out a shout and the bomb went off. For a moment it looked like Gus was fine, until the camera rolled to show that the other side of his face had been completely blown off. While Gus's death may have not been a huge surprise, the way he went was jaw-dropping. No pun intended.
