10 Similarities You Never Noticed In Family Guy And The Simpsons

9. Marge And Lois Have Relatives Who Disprove Of Their Husbands

Both Marge and Lois have family members who try to convince them to leave their husbands pretty much every time they appear in an episode. Patty and Selma don€™t think Homer€™s good enough for their sister, and bring €œreplacements€ to the house to advertise to Marge. On numerous occasions, the first thing they ask when they meet her is €œHave you left that fat slob yet?€ Carter Pewterschmidt also doesn€™t hide his distaste for his daughter€™s fat slob of a husband, offering him a million dollars to not marry her, and clubbing him with a statue when they first meet. To be fair, they€™ve both got valid points; Homer and Peter are, well, fat slobs, and they€™ve never earned the love of their wives. But it€™s a striking similarity that Marge and Lois have relatives who not only delight in telling them this at every opportunity, but don€™t make any effort to hide their feelings from the husband in question.
