It seems so far that the average post-apocalyptic human is either selfish, stupid or psychopathic. It would be nice to find a group of humans who were a bit more, well, human. There are likely groups of humanitarians, nurses, doctors, military, even local government busy-bodies who would have been trying to create something. Techies, network engineers, hackers, professors, teachers - surely there would be more left of our once great civilisations than a cop, some crazies and a few random joes? Arriving at Terminus, there just seemed something off from the start, but cannibalism and treating humans like cattle was more than a little troubling. The sense of hopelessness towards the end of that story arc was palpable and the idea that humanity wasnt worth saving has started to take hold. What is needed is a group of people who arent too good to be true. People who have been through just as much hardship, but who have come out with their empathy intact. This doesnt have to be a bunch of tree-huggers or even a fully fledged society, just people who arent only out to kill you and steal your stuff.
I.T. Consultant, technophile and Doctor Who fan. I like to talk about tech, take films apart and make excuses for Doctor Who's continuity errors. No other show has the power to make me feel like a big kid.
