10 Simpsons Characters Who Are Completely Underused

7. Lenny Leonard

A couple of seasons ago, we got to see the origins of Carl Carlson in "The Saga of Carl." Turns out, Carl is from Iceland, and that's not the least of it. What about his other half, however? Lenny has gotten some pretty solid laughs over the years, mostly thanks to his obsession with Carl, which may or may not be romantic infatuation. You could definitely go further with the character however. It's well known that he knew Homer and Carl as a teenager, but that's about all we know. What led him to the nuclear plant along with Carl and Homer? And what's the deal with his name? Is it Lenford Leoard, or Leonard Lenford? Lenford has been used as both his first and last names in various episodes.
