10 Small Details You Only Notice Rewatching The Umbrella Academy

Check out this image. Does this woman look familiar? That's probably because you remember her from the scene in which the team meet up at a bowling alley, and she offers to let Five play with her son, because y'know, they're a "similar age".

Well that's not the only place you recognise her from. In fact, she appears a number of different times throughout Season 1 of The Umbrella Academy, usually in the right place at the wrong time.

The character, who isn't credited by name, but is portrayed by the fabulous Heather Sanderson, can also be seen in "We Only See Each Other at Weddings and Funerals" escaping the bank after being held hostage, in "Man on the Moon" riding a bus with Klaus, and in the aforementioned bowling alley scene in the season finale. Some eagle eyed fans also spotted her during episode 7 of the first season, dancing at a rave with Klaus.

So who is she? Is she just an extra? An obsessed fan? Or could she somehow be linked to the family, especially Klaus? Or maybe she's watching them! Remember how The Handler mentioned a group of field agents who monitor the time line on behalf of The Commission, reporting any anomalies back to them? Could it be that Sanderson's seemingly random appearances are actually all a part of the The Commission's grand plan? We'd like to believe so.
