10 South Park Characters You Totally Forgot Existed

Chef was once one of the most iconic characters South Park had to offer. The passionate talker, the voice of reason, the smooth singer - he was easily a fan favourite amongst viewers. It's still very sad to think how awkwardly he was written out of the show, but he left behind such a great legacy which we will always cherish.

However, the same can't be said for Chef's parents - Thomas and Nellie McElroy. Making their debut appearance in "The Succubus" for Chef's wedding and then two more cameo appearances after that, their shtick mostly comprised of bickering with each other and generally just being a bit senile.

The McElroys were a fine enough presence but there wasn't really any room for development within their roles on the sitcom. Because of Chef's death, it was rather unlikely we'd see them again. And besides, they weren't even present for their own son's funeral which basically proves the producers have forgotten about them as much as we have.
