10 South Park Characters You Totally Forgot Existed
5. Skyler
From one dodgy Marsh relationship to another. Going back to the season three episode "Cat Orgy", Shelly Marsh was left in charge of babysitting Eric Cartman. As usual, Shelly is an aggressive bully, transferring her anger on to Eric. She is also defiant of Liane Cartman's rule of not having anyone over, by bringing in her 22 year old boyfriend Skyler and his band to practice their music.
Skyler was obviously designed to be a typical douchebag that would be so awful, he'd make you feel sympathy for Shelly. He's self-absorbed, rude and perverted, given that he broke up with Shelly after she didn't give him any physical attention.
Unlike Sharon's ex-partner Roy, Skyler made another appearance in the series in the episode "Timmy 2000", where his band would take on Timmy Burch as their new lead singer.
It’s hard to believe the pre-teen Shelly was literally dating an adult, but it especially highlights how much the series progressed in terms of characters and tone. These days, Sharon would never let her daughter date a man far too old for her. What's more is that Shelly herself would probably act sensibly enough to be in a relationship with a boy her own age, but that's just classic South Park for you.
