In this episode, former Superman actor Christopher Reeve arrives in South Park and campaigns for stem cell research. To prove the science works, Reeve consumes the cells of a foetus to regain his mobility.

But as he absorbs more and more stem cells, Reeve gains superhuman strength and becomes a power-hungry supervillain. Corrupted by his newfound strength, Gene Hackman, who portrayed Lex Luthor in the original Superman film, confronts Reeve, telling him he has gone too far.

Reeve refuses to listen to Hackman (or "Hack Man" as he calls him), and sets up his own Legion of Doom, with members such as Doctor Doom, Osama Bin Laden, Professor Chaos, and David Blaine.

Luckily, Hackman helps pass a law that prevents Reeves from consuming any more stem cells. To ensure Reeves never touches a foetus ever again, he is placed inside the Phantom Zone, an inter-dimensional prison created by Superman's father, Jor-El.

Because time stands still in The Phantom Zone and it's impossible to die while inside, Reeves will be trapped in the otherworldly realm for all eternity.
