10 Star Trek Foods We Wish Were Real

8. Saurian Brandy

The Saurians are also a reptilian species, but unlike Cardassian kanar, Saurian brandy is adored across the Alpha Quadrant, from The Original Series to Picard’s most recent outing.

Saurian brandy is essentially Earth brandy with a far greater alcohol content. It has a golden honey color like its Terran counterpart and typically comes in distinctive horn-like bottles.

Case after case of the drink is exported across the quadrant, a testament to its popularity. It was a staple aboard Kirk’s Enterprise, and it was often said to be Captain Sisko’s favorite as well. It was always in stock at Quark’s Bar, and Guinan used it frequently in Ten Forward (when the synthehol wasn’t enough).

In fact, Guinan once prepared a drink of targ’s milk, Denevian mead, and mostly Saurian brandy. There’s no record of exactly what a targ’s milk tastes like, but anyone who’s ever seen a targ wouldn’t assume its milk was delicious. Still, all that Saurian brandy in the mix would certainly smooth things over.
