9. Jesse Shoots Gale Season 3, Episode 13 Full Measure
If Breaking Bad had a yearbook, Jesse Pinkman would win Most Likely To Need a Hug. For a character who commits deplorable acts, Jesse somehow still comes across as a bullied child wearing the full weight of his crimes behind piercing blue eyes. As Walt would argue it, killing Gale was a necessary evil to keep them both alive. Ultimately, though, that doesnt help Jesse sleep at night. He will forever be pushed into evil by White, who he eventually comes to see as the Devil. Walts gift of manipulation serves viewers well in the final minutes of Full Measure. Aware of the trap set by Gus as he enters the super lab (under the guise of a conveniently timed chemical leak), Walt begs for his life and even offers up Jesse to appease Mike. Walt tells Mike he needs to call Jesse to set up the meeting, and phones his partner. To Mikes surprise, Walt instead tells Jesse he has a twenty minute head start, and to do it now, leading to the seasons spine-chilling last shot. Jesse tears up as the gun wobbles slightly in his hand, Gale begs for his life, the gun fires as the screen cuts to black and viewers are left waiting for an entire year for the crushing fallout.
He writes half-baked novels and twitter fiction. He makes short films for contests. He plays mostly unheard music. He painted something once, and it was... okay.
