It wasn't only TOWIE where Joey Essex was having us in stitches: at the latter end of the year came reality staple I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, a show where lying in an coffin shaped box underground while maggots crawl over your body is the norm. This year the "famous" faces that took to the jungle included Kian Egan of Westlife, designer of Princess Diana's wedding dress, David Emanuel, beauty queen Amy Willerton and soap actress, Lucy Pargeter, among other similarly semi-familiar names and faces. Of course, there was many an argument in the jungle, as well as the usual disagreements over sleeping arrangements and the lack of food, but what really caught our attention this year was TOWIE star, Joey Essex's complete absence of life skills, and brain cells. During the course of the show, 23-year-old Joey admitted he had never learned to tell the time and that he didn't know how to blow his nose, simply because he had never learned how to, as if people are getting lessons in the latter as part of their formal education. It's certainly been an interesting year for television that probably made you dumber, but I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here made us feel like our IQ's were dropping with every second.
