10 Stupid 2013 TV Shows That Probably Made You Dumber
9. Big Brother
Another year and with it, another series of Big Brother. Big Brother 14 began in June and lasted until August, and whether you love it or hate it, unless you were lucky enough to be out of the country at the time, chances are you definitely saw some of it. Although the series followed the same concept as previous years, this one included the first "people's puppet." Michael Dylan, an actor who entered the house on launch night with the other contestants, who was in fact a mole placed in the house by the Big Brother crew in order to stir things up amongst the housemates. During his time in the house, Michael's job was to reveal a made-up secret about himself, which had been chosen by the viewers. Perhaps if this had taken place ten years ago when the show was still in its early years it may have kept our attention, but unfortunately it was just too dull for us to care about whether the housemates would believe Michael's secret or what would happen when he was unmasked as an actor. Over the years Big Brother has brought us some shocking and engaging moments, such as Nikki Grahame's famous "Who is she?" tantrum as well as Kinga Karolczak's "relationship" with that wine bottle, but sadly an actor pretending to be a housemate with a secret just made this series of Big Brother predictable and stupid.
