10 Stupidly Risky Plans From TV's Most Notorious Villains

1. Frank Underwood's Public Murder - House Of Cards

Conniving and backstabbing his way to the presidency, Francis J. Underwood has reached unprecedented levels of malevolence across three seasons of House of Cards. While most of his evil doings appear in the form of playing people against one another, he is not above getting his hands dirty from time to time. While the can-do attitude is admirable, when you€™ve got your eye on the oval office it may not be such a good idea to pull the trigger yourself. His first seemingly insurmountable problem began when he started a turbulent affair with an ambitious young journalist in a bid to manipulate stories to his advantage. As it turned out, Zoe Barnes was sharper than he imagined, ending their relationship to begin investigating a murder he has committed. This lapse in judgement is one of the few failures Frank ever admits to, and sets in motion an absurd plan that could have been carried out more efficiently in a hundred different ways. Instead of having resident heavy Doug Stamper or even some nameless hireling go after Zoe, he chooses to do so himself. Taking a leaf from the Heisenberg book of disguise (read: a hat and glasses) and choosing a highly public setting, he pushes the troublesome reporter in front of a train on a crowded platform. For a man so enamoured with the poetry of planning, this knee-jerk reaction was one immensely careless risk that may yet come back to haunt him. Are there any ridiculous plans that you think should get a mention? Hit up the comments below and let us know.
