10 Stupidly Risky Plans From TV's Most Notorious Villains

8. Cersei Finds Religion - Game Of Thrones

Queen Regent of both Westeros and the resting b*tch face, Cersei Lannister is a lady you really don€™t want to get on the wrong side of. Her whole life has been a single minded quest to become the most powerful woman in the Seven Kingdoms, and whether this is accomplished through marriage or murder doesn't matter all that much to Cersei. After bumping off King Robert Baratheon and securing the throne for her offspring, her ascent to power seemed all but confirmed. Having seen off threats of all shapes and sizes, the most recent season pitted her against the one enemy she apparently cannot defeat alone, a younger and more attractive woman. Instead of trying to befriend Margaery Tyrell, in typical Lannister fashion Cersei€™s first move is to treat her with contempt and plot to crush her. Being that Cersei isn't the most saintly individual, her choice of ally in this venture is quite frankly baffling. Expecting a group of nutty religious fanatics to put Margaery on trial for hiding her brother€™s homosexuality, but not to come after her for being a homicidal incest enthusiast? Maybe the Lannister matriarch had been swilling too much Dornish red when the idea to arm a militia of filthy yet super-pious hobos came to her. I suppose in the Game of Thrones you can€™t win them all.
