10 Stupidly Risky Plans From TV's Most Notorious Villains

3. Kilgrave's Stalker Shenanigans - Jessica Jones

For everyone who wondered what would happen if The Doctor became a deranged sexual deviant, Jessica Jones provided David Tennant a chance to enlighten them. Playing a truly despicable cockney with the ability to control people€™s minds via a simple request, his portrayal of Kilgrave made for one of the best villainous performances of 2015. Starring Kristen Ritter as the eponymous Jones, the show took the audience to the sordid underbelly of the Marvel universe and showed the psychological toll being a hero can have. Season one focused around the return of Kilgrave into Jessica€™s life, and we learn that he is driven by unrequited 'love' for her . He engineers an elaborate series of events, involving setting up a fantasy life for the two of them in her childhood home. So far so creepy. When this massively flawed plan fails, he manages to escape with his life, but the same can€™t be said for his supposed intelligence. Despite being clearly outmatched by Jessica, he refuses to give up, even going as far as openly testing his abilities at karaoke nights to have another go at putting the hard-drinking PI under his spell. He keeps risking his life to lure Jessica to him with contingencies so flimsy he may as well have not bothered. Fittingly, his eventual demise was unspectacular, perfectly matching the outcome of his ridiculous plan.
