10 Supernatural Episodes Which Totally Broke The Mold

10. “Baby” (Season 11, Episode 4)

Shot entirely using a single camera placed in the backseat of Dean’s beloved Chevrolet Impala, this seems like it’d be an immensely boring premise. I mean, how interesting is the back seat of even the most exotic vehicle? And yet the writers somehow managed to craft an engaging plot about a new monster the brothers had never faced before.

What is most interesting about this episode is the reality of how little the brothers are fully aware of what’s going on around them. Dean isn’t aware that a valet took his beloved car for a joy ride, and the car seems capable of bearing witness to visions Sam has which are seemingly from God.

In the end, we’re left to realize that the objects around us bear witness – though not consciously – of far more that we understand.
