10 Supporting TV Characters That Completely Stole The Spotlight

For some reason, Lost chose to centre itself around Jack, the boring do-gooder who thought the world revolved around him and his problems. He was stiff, arrogant and controlling and by far the worst character on the show. Even the polar bear was better than him. And the smoke monster.

Despite all the other cool and interesting characters on the island, the writers were adamant that Jack's story would be the most important, after all, he was the star of the show. And they forced it in some places.

But deep down, we all knew that Sawyer was the real star. For a start, his arc was way more interesting: he started life as the bad guy but due to great character development he ended up being one of the most fascinating characters on the island. That was helped also by some excellent acting work by Josh Holloway.

Sadly, the writers still resisted, cutting Sawyer's screen time and making a mockery of his earlier episodes.
