1. The Upbringing
Taking into account all of the previous points mentioned on this list, there is one overall giveaway that depicts a Doctor Who fan and makes them stick out amongst the crowd - how they are brought up. Everything that has been mentioned in this list may have been out of a person's own choice but the majority of an individual becoming a Whovian is largely down to the influence of their parents. A child in 2005, for example, may have been sitting around bored until their parents recommended that little show called Doctor Who, thus planting the Whovian seed. Some parents may have read the Doctor Who novels and comic strips to their children at a young age so their upbringing has a huge effect on their direction in life. Doctor Who is the perfect way to keep it in the family. What do you think of this list? Are there any other surefire ways to spot a Doctor Who fan from a mile off?
