5. The Merchandise
Look, someone is carrying a Sonic Screwdriver around with them... and another one. The Doctor Who merchandise can be seen everywhere - literally everywhere - people go. From the action figures and various versions of the Sonic Screwdriver to cuddly plush Daleks and Cybermen voice changer helmets, the worldwide phenomena that is Doctor Who has produced endless amounts of merchandise to promote the show to its fans. Every fan has at least (one room full of) merchandise and they will often bring their favourite possessions around with them, too. A fan may carry around a replica of the Ninth/Tenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver in their bag at all times, for example, just because anyone with that limited edition product would keep it by their side at all times without hesitation. Besides, who know when you're going to be called upon to fix a cabinet? For non-Whovian fans, seeing someone roam around with a flaring blue device will look slightly odd. But who cares?
