10 Teen Dramas That Are Actually Good Television Shows

8. Roswell

Hey guys, remember when Katherine Heigl was likable? You might have to reach back as far as Roswell to find that moment in time. This was an inventive show from the early 2000s, about a trio of alien teenagers who were the only survivors of a crash landing on Earth when they were young children. Adopted by human parents, they kept their real identities a secret...until one of them makes the bone-headed decision to bring a fellow high schooler back to life after a shooting, and she discovers the truth. Oops. And then tells her best friend. Double oops. As admittedly silly as the central plot line might sound, Roswell was generally well-written and well-acted, especially during the early seasons of the show. Roswell manages to create some tense moments, as the town's alien mad sheriff gets closer and closer to figuring out their secret, and the romantic relationships between the main characters are actually kind of adorable. It's the sort of Romeo and Juliet star-crossed lovers scenario that doesn't make you groan and roll your eyes for once.
