6. Steve Smith (American Dad) & Meg Griffin (Family Guy)
These two teenage animated characters are essentially as lame and unlucky in love as each other, so it's only fair that they get the chance to meet up and form the lamest couple in the history of television, surely? Although Meg is now 18 years of age (having celebrated her 18th birthday the
Meg and Quagmire episode), 15 year old Steve is certainly 'in her league' given her dating history (which includes various imaginary boyfriends, a pity date from Brian the dog, a weird platonic relationship with elderly Mayor Adam West, a liaison with pimply nerd Neil Goldman and a picnic with a rotting corpse). Steve's love life is no better. He has had a long-term, on-off relationship with the overweight Debbie Hyman - who has, on one occasion, dumped him for rich Jew Ethan Cohen - a short relationship with 80 year old Gretchen Grossbard, he's shared a Russian mail-order bride with three of his friends and has dated several girls who only dated him because of ulterior motives that would benefit them in the long-term. Basically, these two need to cut their losses and get together - for nobody's sake but their own. They live in a shared universe too (as confirmed by the various cameos made by each respective show's characters in the other show), so it's far more feasible than most other pairings in this list.
